The School of Pharmacy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Samayapuram, organized the Inaugural Function for the B.Pharm and D.Pharm programs with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The event marked a significant milestone in welcoming the new batch of aspiring pharmacy professionals into the institution.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the organizing faculty, followed by an invocation to invoke blessings for the success of the academic journey ahead. The distinguished gathering included senior administrators, faculty members, students, and parents, all of whom added grace and dignity to the occasion.
The Chief Patron of the University, Shri. A. Srinivasan, Honourable Chancellor, presided over the function and conveyed his inspiring message. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare delivery and highlighted the institution’s commitment to providing world-class education, research facilities, and holistic development for students. His words served as a motivating force for the young entrants.
The Presidential Address was delivered by the Vice Chancellor, who stressed the importance of discipline, dedication, and innovation in the pharmacy profession. This was followed by the Felicitation Address by Dr. S. Akilandeswari, Dean, School of Pharmacy, who extended her heartfelt wishes to the students. She assured them of continuous academic and professional support from the faculty and encouraged them to make the best use of the opportunities available at DSU.
The function also witnessed blessings and motivational words from the Registrar, Deans of other faculties, and senior professors, who shared their insights on the evolving scope of pharmacy in clinical, community, and industrial sectors. The special guest Prof. Dr. B. Jaykar, Director, Clinicl Trials, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem, delivered the special address for B.Pharm and D.Pharma students.
The inaugural ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the management, organizing team, and participants. The event was not only a formal induction but also a celebration of new beginnings, inspiring students to embark on their professional journey with confidence and determination.
